Using R for Data Mining

Talk given at NCAF, September 2007

NCAF is the Natural Computation Applications Forum . We meet four times a year to discuss computer systems inspired by natural systems (e.g. how ants communicate) and how it can be used to do useful things!

In September 2007, I gave a talk entitled An Introduction to R - Free software for repeatable statistics, visualisation and modeling

Note that to run the examples, you may need to install extra libraries.

There are plenty of online courses, and build in help. A good start is the R command
help.start()
which will bring up an introductory text in your web browser.
